This month I have absolutely loved listening to music and finding songs that I haven’t heard before. A lot of my favourites this month were found from another favourite of my - the TV show This Is Us. Amongst so many things I love about the show is the soundtrack, and I have been listening to it a lot this month - so much so that I have made a whole new playlist on Spotify for music from the show. Amongst these songs, are a few rediscovered favourites that I have also been loving throughout June.

Songs from This Is Us
With finding so many wonderful songs from the show this month, I thought I would create a whole section in today’s post for songs that I found through This Is Us. For those of you who haven’t seen it, This Is Us is a show all about family and is my fave! I recommend this show to everyone and something I really love is how many songs I have found through the programme. The songs are so wonderful throughout each episode, and so here are a couple of my favourite finds so far;- Some Day Soon - Alexi Murdock
- Our House - Crosby, Still, Nash & Young
- Into the Mystic - Van Morrison
- Heartbeats - José González
- Blues Run The Game - Simon & Garfunkel
- You Can Call Me Al - Paul Simon
- The Only Living Boy In New York - Simon & Garfunkel
- Conversations in the Dark - John Legend
- I Got You Babe - Goldspot
One and Only - Adele
In June, lots of Glastonbury performances were shown on TV, and amongst them was Adele’s 2016 headline performance. I remember watching this in 2016, and absolutely loving it. Having watched it again on TV in June, it is still one of my favourite Glastonbury headline shows, and One and Only is one of my favourite songs that Adele performed.Son of a Preacher Man - Aretha Franklin
This is a song that has been on one of my playlists for quite a while now and I really loved rediscovering it in June. I absolutely love Aretha Franklin’s voice, and my favourite part of the song is about 1 minute 35 seconds in, where the music slows down. It is a great one to sing along to and is quite nostalgic for me - because it is one that the band at my school used to play all the time.I would love to know in the comments; what are your music monthly favourites for June 2020?
Thank you for this post - I've got some new content to look up on on spotify because of this 😊
