The Blogosphere Network

If you have been reading my blog for some time, you’ll know how much I love Blogosphere Magazine and everything at Blogosphere HQ. It is such a brilliant magazine and the team really care about their readers. When I found out about the Blogosphere Network, I was so excited about it and knew I wanted to write a blog post to chat about all things Blogosphere Network because I think it is such a brilliant idea for influencers and brands alike.

For those of you who may not have seen on Blogosphere Magazine’s social media today, the Blogosphere Network is essentially a meeting point of influencers and brands. It is a rating system meaning that both the content creator and the company they are working with can rate each other on factors relating to their experience with one other across lots of different categories, whether that be communication, payment or how much of a creative role they had in the process. This then means future influencers who are considering working with a brand are able to access a rating from other content creators about their experiences with that brand, allowing the influencer to have a clear picture of whether they want to work with that particular company or not.

I first came across the real issues around working with brands through Blogosphere Magazine’s podcast – The Serious Influence – when Alice Audley and Victoria (from InTheFrow) were discussing Victoria’s experience with brands. It was really interesting to hear from an influencer what she would appreciate from a company she might be working with before, during and after the process. This is where Blogosphere Network would be fantastic, it addresses issues faced directly by influencers and allows for a better community-based process of working with brands. I really think that it will help so many people and instil more confidence in influencers. It would also act in the same way for the brand, accounting for both sides of the industry and making the experience better for all.

The Blogosphere Network is launching a kickstarter page on Wednesday, the 14th November, at 1pm (the day I am putting this blog post up) to help with the funding for this and I will leave a link to the page here, where you can pledge to the cause and share across your own social media:

I really think this is an amazing idea to improve the experience of working with others, whether you are the brand or the influencer. It is also another example of the amazing work everyone at Blogosphere HQ is doing to make the online influencer space – aka the Blogosphere – a more positive and productive place to be. I am so happy they have addressed issues that many influencers and brands face and are aiming to help so many people.
