The start of the month is the perfect time to set some goals. I have decided that towards the start of most if not every month on my blog, I am going to write down a list of aims. I think this will be good not only to look forward to a new month but also to look back at my previous months goals and see how many I was able to tick off. These goals can be based on anything and everything, and so I am excited to start making a note of what I want to achieve month by month.
With that being said, here are my goals for November 2018.
• Don’t Compare •
This is one I feel should just be a goal all year round, but I think it is key. Nowadays, as I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you, we all have the tendency to compare – especially on social media. I want to take this month to focus on myself and those around me without comparing myself to where others are at in life, how others are feeling and what people have planned. I once saw a quote that said something along the lines of ‘appreciate someone’s beauty and success without questioning your own’ and I think this is something that I am going to try and live by this month.
• Be more organised •
If you have read one of my most recent blog posts, you’ll know October was a very frustrating time for my organisation – in that I didn’t have any haha! But this month I am aiming to be more organised and not to become stressed if my organisation slips again. I don’t think it’s realistic to be 100% organised 24/7, but if I just become a little bit more organised than I was in October, that will do for me this month!
• Hand-in my first university assignments •
Writing this one down was a scary realisation that I have 4 assignments due before the end of this month haha! A goal for me this month is definitely to complete all my assignments and in turn finish my first term at university. I can’t believe that assessments are already due and my first ever term at university is nearly finished – it seems to have gone so fast!I have the tendency to overthink on occasion, and this month I am going to try and ‘go with things’ a bit more. I don’t think that overthinking is always a negative thing, but sometimes I like the thought of having a more relaxed approach to things and seeing what happens without having a notion of what the situation will be like. So that is what I am going to try to do this month – take things in my stride.
• Take photos in new places •
I love photography, especially blog photography, and so this month I want to have more confidence to go and explore new places and take fun pictures. This morning I went for a drive to take photos in a new place for this blog post and I really enjoyed it. I find that I feel more motivated and excited to upload posts when I can be more creative with my photography.
So that is it, those are my goals for November 2018. I know these goals are very idealistic to achieve, but I like to view them as something to keep in mind and refer back to throughout the month to keep me motivated and give me a positive outlook in November.
I would love to know in the comments; what are your goals for November?
