Pop Of Colour

Pop Of Colour

I always seem to wear neutral colours – a lot of black, grey and white. But, I think that colour can add something different to an outfit and I thought I’d try to add just a pop of colour into my outfits to ease my way into a more colourful wardrobe. So, here are my subtle ways to add a pop of colour to an outfit.

• Pink bag •

A bag is the perfect way to add colour to an outfit. I find that even when wearing all black, adding a bright bag – like this pink one – can give the outfit such a lift and bring it together. I bought this bag a while ago but a link to a similar one is here.

• Lipstick •

Lipstick is a great way to get into adding colour to an outfit. Wearing a brighter pink or a red lipstick not only looks lovely but gives me confidence. I love branching out into bolder lip colours, and wanting to add colour to my look, this is the best way to do it subtly. The lipstick here is Rimmel Kate Moss 111 (Kiss Of Life).

• Nail Varnish •

Again, super subtle, but a fab way to get a little splash of colour into your outfit. I also feel like it is really inexpensive to pick up a nail varnish from the shop, and also you can really easily change up the colour you want to add to your outfit. Love colourful nail varnish! The one I'm wearing here is Barry M Gel Hi Shine Nail Paint in 31.

• Eye Shadow •

Eyeshadow is one of my favourite ways to add a pop of colour to an outfit, because you can choose last minute what colour you want to add and it’s easy to blend a colour into any look. The best palette for this I find is the Revolution palettes, they are really affordable and come with so many colours that you can add whatever colour you fancy. This palette is the Sleek I-Divine Palette in Vintage Romance 141.

Adding small pops of colour is the best way to easy your way into a more colourful style, and these simple and easy ways to add colour what I’ve been loving to do recently.
