A capsule wardrobe is;
“a practice of editing your wardrobe down to your favourite clothes, remixing them regularly and shopping less often and more intentionally”
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE FOR EACH PIECE OF CLOTHING
Step 1:
Do I want to keep this piece of clothing? Do I wear it often and know what I can wear it with? If the answer is yes, put it in the ‘to keep’ pile.Step 2:
If the answer is no; is there any way I can recycle this piece of clothing? Maybe make a crop-top out of a t-shirt or change up a piece of clothing to give it a refresh? If the answer is yes, put it in the ‘to be altered’ pile.Step 3:
If the answer is no; put this piece of clothing in a pile ready to donate.By the end of this step-by-step process, I was ready to put the clothes that were in the ‘to-keep’ pile back in my wardrobe. I spent some time re-organising my wardrobe at this stage so that everything was a bit more orderly than it had been before. What I loved about being inspired by a capsule wardrobe was that it meant I took each piece of clothing and really thought through what was best to do with it. It means that now I can make the most of my wardrobe and also means that I have a fun project of recycling some old clothes to get to in the next week or so.
I filmed the whole process of my wardrobe cleanse and clear-out, so, if you are interested in seeing more about it, I will leave the video below;
