Deep End - hapi, Cellar Door and Jules
Recently, I found Claudia Sulewski's YouTube channel and have been really enjoying watching her videos. One thing (amongst many) that I love about her videos is the music she uses. She always has great songs and credits the artists every-time. It has been a really fun way to find new music, and this song was in her Australia vlog. I loved it when I first heard it and have been listening to it and sharing it with people since. The song has such a chilled vibe - great for a road-trip!The Concert in Central Park (Live) - Simon and Garfunkel
In January, my Mum, Dad and I went to watch a show called 'The Story of Simon and Garfunkel' where 2 men told the story of the singers whilst performing some of their songs. It was absolutely amazing and I came away from the night wanting to listen to lots of their music. When my Mum was around my age, she used to listen to this particular album on repeat all the time, and now I have found myself doing the exact same. The album is phenomenal and I can't stop listening to it. Some of my favourite songs are; 'Still Crazy After All These Years', 'Mrs Robinson', 'April Come She Will', 'Late in the Evening'... I mean I could go on and list the whole album, it is AMAZING!Start Anew - Beady Eye
In January, I went to Cheltenham with my brother to visit my sister and her boyfriend, and along with that came a road-trip to get there (and a few short drives whilst we were away). My brother was in charge of the aux for most the trip - which is always good because I love his taste in music. This was one of the songs he played and I find it really calm and lovely to listen to.Thank You For The Music - ABBA
An absolute classic that I was listening to lots at the beginning of January. This was a song that was played on New Years Eve and it is the kind of song that everyone knows, which makes for a really fun sing-song. After NYE, I kept coming back to playing this and it is just such a great song!8 - Billie Eilish
This month, I have started to learn to play the ukulele and this was the first song I learnt on it. I had seen Billie Eilish on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke singing part of the song 8 on her ukulele and I thought it sounded so lovely. I have loved playing this on my ukulele throughout January, I find that the ukulele matches the vibe of the song perfectly. There are lots of other songs that I have loved throughout January, but I best stop there otherwise this blog post would be SUPER long haha! Be sure to follow me on my Instagram if you want to see more of the songs I have been loving - I always share them over there!
As always, let me know in the comments; what music have you been loving throughout January 2020?
