Music Monthly Favourites | September 2019

It's Music Monthly Favourites time again! September has been a great month for finding new music. I keep seeming to come across songs that I really enjoy, whether that be new releases in the music world or old songs that I am just starting to come across. I feel as though if I included every song in this post, it would be very long haha, so I am just going to share my top favourite songs from September in today's post.

Hypersonic Missiles (The Album) - Sam Fender

Okay, so this is technically 13 songs, but this album is honestly amazing. It has been a while since I have come across a whole album and been so interested in the lyrics and the message behind every song. If you haven't listened to this album I would 100% recommend. It covers so many important topics and the whole album is such an insight into our generation. I have been absolutely loving this album since it was released just over a week ago, and I am sure it will be an album I will listen to for a long time!

Dirty AF1s - Alexander23

This is a song that my brother played me when I picked him up from town one evening this month. I instantly loved it, and asked him to replay it straight away (yes, I am one of those people who plays a new song they love on repeat all day haha). It is a fun song to sing along to and a really chill one to listen to.

Baby, I Love You - Aretha Franklin

This song has been on my Old School playlist for a while now, but for some reason this month it got played so much more than usual. It is another one that I love singing along to in the car, and any Aretha Franklin song is amazing. I, like so many others, love her voice and it is always one of my faves to listen to.

Proud Mary - Tina Turner

I must have had a month of scrolling down my playlists because this song has also been on my Old School playlist for a while. I think it came on in the car whilst I was driving and I remembered how good it was! It is a classic!

Bruce Springsteen

Last week, I had a day of watching old videos of Bruce Springsteen performing live and I remembered how much I just love his music. Since then, whether it be Born in the U.S.A., Dancing in the Dark or pretty much any song from his Live in Dublin album, I have been listening to a lot of Springsteen!

I will leave it there for today. As always, let me know in the comments; what are your music monthly favourites for September 2019?
