My Favourite Music From Films

Films with good songs in them are always my favourite – whether that be a soundtrack in the background of the film or a musical itself. With that being said I thought I would write a post about my favourite music from films.

• Sunshine On Leith •

This is one of my favourite movies and having seen it on stage, the songs are definitely ones I listen to regularly.

·
On My Way – The Proclaimers
· Let’s Get Married – The Proclaimers
· Over and Done With – The Proclaimers

• Dirty Dancing •

I love Dirty Dancing, and the soundtrack adds so much to the films. With all the dancing that inevitably happens in the movie, the music is key.

· Love Man – Otis Redding
· Hey Baby – Bruce Channel
· Cry To Me – Solomon Bruce

• The Blues Brothers •

Anyone who had seen The Blues Brothers film will know how good the music is. I love all of the songs and definitely listen to them a lot of the time.

· Everybody Needs Somebody – The Blues Brothers
· Shake Your Tail Feather – The Blues Brothers
· Think – Aretha Franklin

• The Greatest Showman •

Definitely a new favourite of mine, and the music is amazing. It’s one of those films that after seeing, you find yourself singing all of the songs and listening to the soundtrack over and over.

· Never Enough – Loren Allred
· This Is Me – Keala Settle
· A Million Dreams – Ziv Zaigman, Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams
· Tightrope – Michelle Williams

• Grease •

This is a film that I watched so many time when I was younger, and so I have known the songs for as long as I can remember – they are so good!

· You’re The One That I Want – Grease
· Grease Lightening – Grease
· Sandra Dee – Grease

For me, music definitely makes a film better, and I love that after having watched a film, you can listen to the soundtrack and enjoy the songs.
