‘ Where’s Your Head At? ’ Campaign - MHFA England

I am sure many of you have heard the phrase ‘mental health is as important as physical health’. It’s not often that an opportunity comes around to put that into practice and change the way we look at our health as a whole; both physical and mental. This is why I was so happy to hear about the ‘Where’s Your Head At?’ Campaign put in place by MHFA England; an amazing campaign to take the stigma of mental health away and make the conversation more common ground.

First Aid for physical health is currently accepted as the norm in most if not all companies across the  UK, so why isn’t mental health first aid accessible to the same degree? This is a question that MHFA England are looking to answer,  campaigning for mental health first aid to be as common place, in order to help those in businesses and push through the stigma.

On Wednesday 27th June 2018 at 12.00pm , MHFA England are launching a ‘social media thunderclap’ in order to get their currently 75,000 strong petition - to introduce mental health first aid into businesses - up to 100,000 in order to make a difference.

Mental health is something that needs to be discussed more and this would be a great step to confirm the statement that ‘mental health is as important as physical health’.

To join me and the 75,000 people who have so far called for this change, head to >> https://www.change.org/p/sarah-newton-make-it-compulsory-to-have-a-mental-health-first-aider-at-work-wheresyourheadat << and sign the petition today!

It would be great for as many people as possible to be a part of making a great difference to not only the conversation but the action around Mental Health.
