Easy and Thoughtful Father's Day Gift Ideas

On the 17th June in the UK, it is Father’s Day. For Father’s Day, over birthdays and Christmas, I find that the best thing to do is something thoughtful. You don’t need to spend lots of money or buy extravagant gifts, I find that the more simple and thoughtful the Father’s Day present, the better. So, here are my ideas for this year;

• Jar of Favourite Sweets •

This was something I once did on Father’s Day, and it becomes a really thoughtful and affordable gift. What’s great about this is not only are the sweets themselves personal to the individual – being their favourite – but also you can decorate the jar however you want and personalise it to your Dad.

• D.A.D Cupcakes •

This is one of my favourites. It’s so easy to make quick cupcakes – especially with the ‘cheat’ cupcake boxes you can get from supermarkets – and personalising it for Father’s Day is a great idea. I like to add a drop blue food colouring to the icing of the cupcakes to make them more in theme.

• Breakfast •

Something as simple as cooking a really nice breakfast for the morning of Father’s Day starts the day off in a really lovely way and makes a thoughtful gift. It’s not everyday that someone makes you a full English breakfast with options of fruit, pastries and toast – just like a hotel! So doing this for your Dad this Father’s Day is something that is really lovely to do. Or equally, you could just make your Dad's favourite breakfast - my Dad loves a classic Boiled Egg and Toast to dip into it!

I much prefer the more thoughtful and affordable Father’s Day Gifts. You don’t have to spend loads of money to show appreciation for someone or be thoughtful.

What are your plans for Father’s Day this year?
