Tanya Burr's Vanilla Star-Sprinkled Cupcakes

I love writing ‘attempting to bake…’ kind of posts here on my blog because I love comparing what my ‘end-bake’ looks like compared to the pictures in the book. Today I decided to attempt another Tanya Burr recipe – Vanilla Star-Sprinkled Cupcakes! I absolutely love Tanya’s recipes, so trying out different ones of hers is always something I love to do. I will leave a link to Tanya’s Book ‘Tanya Bakes’ at the bottom of my post, so that if you are interested you can purchase it!

• What You Will Need •
           Ingredients:
·      50g unsalted butter, softened
·      180g caster sugar
·      1 egg
·      1 teaspoon vanilla extract
·      160g plain flower
·      2 teaspoons baking powder
·      160ml milk
            For the icing:
·      500g icing sugar
·      250g unsalted butter, softened
·      ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
·      Decoration – e.g. sprinkles



I am really happy with how these cupcakes turned out. They were really tasty and easy to make as well. I love this recipe and will definitely be trying it out again. What’s also great is that it makes 12 cupcakes, meaning that you can cater to more people or of course have more to eat all to yourself!
