Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Recipes

Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Recipes

On an evening out with my friends, I have often been the designated driver, meaning, of course, that I cannot drink alcohol. When this is the case, I opt for non-alcoholic cocktails and have always been keen to make my own recipes at home. Now that summer is nearly here, I think that non-alcoholic cocktails are not only fun to make with your friends, but also nice to drink throughout the day.

So, recently I have been experimenting with creating my own non-alcoholic cocktail recipes and having found 3 in particular that I really enjoy, I thought I’d share them in this post. Each of these recipes makes approximately 1 litre of drink.

•Elderflower and Apple •

What you will need:
  - 500ml Elderflower Tonic
  - 500ml Apple Juice
For Decoration:
  - Mint leaves
  - 2x slices of cucumber per glass

How to make:
Mixix together the Elderflower Tonic and Apple Juice and then decorate each glass as you please.

• Orange Twist •

What you will need:
  - 300ml Orange Juice
  - 550ml Cranberry Juice
  - Juice of 2 limes
For Decoration:
  - 1 slice of lime per glass (a good alternative to this is a slice of blood orange )

How to make:
Simply mix together the orange juice, cranberry juice and juice from two limes, then add the slice of lime to your individual glasses.

• Non-Alcoholic Pimm’s •

What you will need:
  - 700ml Cranberry Juice
  - 500ml Lemonade
  - ½ Cucumber (sliced)
  -  200g Strawberries (cut into quarters)
  - Bunch of Mint Leaves
For Decoration:
  - 1 strawberry per glass
  - 1 slice of cucumber per glass
  - Several mint leaves per glass

How to make:
Mix together the Cranberry Juice and Lemonade. Next, add the mint leaves, strawberries and cucumber. Decorate each individual glass as you wish.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post, and if you try any of the drinks please let me know in the comments. I'd also love to know your own 'Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Recipes'.
